About Karen Johanson

My toolbox includes scientifically-proven exercises and drills from these organizations: Rock Steady Boxing, a global non-contact boxing program for people with Parkinson's, and the Brian Grant Foundation, which uses programming designed by balance disorder specialists. Beyond boxing, I incorporate functional fitness and other martial arts in ways that are designed to move our "fighters" beyond the neurological and lifestyle hurdles they face as a result of the disease.
